Understanding Booking Fees on DanberKidz

Modified on Thu, Jan 2 at 5:24 PM

At DanberKidz, our fee structure is designed to support a seamless and safe experience for both parents and caregivers. Here's an explanation of the booking fees for both user types.

For Parents: Service Fee

Parents pay a 10% service fee per booking. This fee helps cover:

  • Operational Costs: Ensuring smooth booking functionality within the app.
  • Support Services: Providing reliable customer support for all users.
  • Technology Enhancements: Ongoing updates and features to improve your experience.

The service fee is calculated as a percentage of the caregiver’s hourly rate and is displayed at checkout before confirming your booking.

For Caregivers: Platform Fee

Caregivers contribute a 5% platform fee (commission) on each booking. This fee supports:

  • Safety and Screening: Costs for verification, screenings, and ongoing safety measures.
  • Technology Maintenance: Real-time tracking, communication tools, and platform upgrades.
  • Operational Support: Ensuring the platform remains efficient and reliable.

The platform fee is automatically deducted from the caregiver’s earnings for each completed booking.

Hourly Rate

The caregiver’s hourly rate is calculated based on the state where the caregiver lives. The total cost, including the hourly rate and service fee (for parents), is displayed before confirming the booking.

Where to View Fees

  • Parents: The total cost, including the service fee, is displayed at checkout before confirming the booking.
  • Caregivers: The net earnings for each booking are shown in your My Stripe Wallet in the account menu.
