Understanding Your Subscription and Billing Details

Managing your subscription and understanding your billing information is simple with DanberKidz. Below, we’ve outlined everything you need to know about your subscription and billing.


Subscription Plans

DanberKidz offers two starter subscription plans, with more options coming soon:

  • Parent Plan Starter: $19.99/month. Grants on-demand access to our network of qualified caregivers.
  • Caregiver Plan Starter: $29.99/month. Covers caregiver resources and safety, including an annual background check and visibility in the app.

Subscriptions are available in both monthly and annual billing cycles. Annual plans offer savings compared to monthly billing.


Billing Frequency

  • Monthly Billing: Billed once per month on the same date your subscription started.
  • Annual Billing: Billed once per year on the date your subscription started.

Parent subscriptions include a 30-day free trial (monthly only). After the trial, users will automatically be billed for the Parent Plan Starter subscription unless they cancel. Caregiver subscriptions do not include a trial period due to the background check fee.


How to View Your Subscription Details

  1. Open the DanberKidz App.
  2. Navigate to the Account Menu.
  3. Tap Manage Subscription.
  4. Here, you can view:
    • Current plan type (Parent or Caregiver).
    • Billing frequency (Monthly or Annual).
    • Billing amount and next payment date.
    • Payment method on file.

Payment Method

  • Payments are processed through Stripe.
  • Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and other methods supported by Stripe.

Understanding Holds and Charges

  • Payment Holds: At the time of booking, a hold of up to 8 times the booking cost may be placed to ensure sufficient funds for late pickups or extensions.
  • Final Charge: You are charged when the caregiver checks out of the booking based on the actual booking duration or scheduled duration—whichever is longer.

Managing Your Subscription

  • To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription, go to the Manage Subscription page from the Account Menu.
  • You can switch between monthly and annual billing during your current billing cycle.

Billing Cycle

  • Billing occurs based on your selected plan: monthly or annual.
  • For trial users, billing begins automatically after the 30-day trial ends based on the selected plan at registration.

Missed Payments

  • Stripe retries payments up to a few times within a certain timeframe. If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be paused or canceled.

Viewing Invoices and Payment History

  1. Navigate to the Manage Subscription page.
  2. Tap View Billing History to see past invoices and payments.

  • If you have questions about your subscription or billing, you can submit a ticket via the DanberKidz Support page.
    • Select Submit a Ticket > Billing and Finance > Membership Billing Questions or Payment Dispute.
