How to Book, Modify, or Cancel a Caregiver

Managing your caregiver bookings on the DanberKidz app is simple and convenient. Follow these steps to book, modify, or cancel a caregiver.


How to Book a Caregiver

  1. Log in to the DanberKidz App

    • Enter your U.S. 10-digit phone number and verify using the OTP.
  2. Select a Location

    • From the home screen, choose a location using one of these options:
      • My Current Location: Uses your GPS location.
      • Caregiver Location: Connects you to the closest caregiver available at their location.
      • Enter New Location: Manually input a new address.
      • Saved Locations: Use previously saved addresses.
  3. Add Child(ren) to the Booking

    • Select the child or children you’d like the caregiver to watch.
    • Add new child profiles if necessary.
  4. Set Booking Duration

    • Choose the number of hours for the booking (1–8 hours).
  5. Confirm the Booking

    • Review the rate displayed based on your selections.
    • Tap Confirm Booking to finalize.
    • You’ll be connected with an available caregiver.

How to Modify a Booking (Coming Soon)

  1. Go to the “My Bookings” Section

    • Access this from the main menu or home screen.
  2. Select the Booking You Want to Modify

    • Choose the active or upcoming booking you wish to update.
  3. Edit Booking Details

    • You can change the duration, child details, or location (if applicable).
  4. Save Changes

    • Confirm the modifications by tapping Save Changes.
    • Note: Changes are subject to caregiver availability.

How to Cancel a Booking

  1. Navigate to “My Bookings”

    • From the main menu, select the booking you’d like to cancel.
  2. Tap “Cancel Booking”

    • Confirm your cancellation and reason by selecting Yes when prompted.
  3. Review Cancellation Policy

    • Ensure you’re within the allowed cancellation period to avoid fees.

Important Notes

  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Bookings canceled within a specific time frame may incur a cancellation fee. Check the policy on the app for details.
  • Caregiver Availability:
    • Modifications depend on caregiver availability at the updated time/location.
  • Communication:
    • Use the in-app messaging system to inform the caregiver of any urgent changes.
