Welcome to DanberKidz! Once you’ve completed your caregiver profile setup and subscribed to your membership plan, you’ll begin the onboarding process. This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure your onboarding is smooth and successful.
1. Starting the Onboarding Process
After subscribing to your membership plan:
- You’ll be redirected to the DanberKidz Home Screen.
- On the home screen, follow the prompts to begin the Onboarding Sequence, which must be completed in order.
2. Step 1: Care Screening
The onboarding starts with a Care Screening Assessment designed to evaluate your experience and suitability for caring for children.
- Click Start Care Screening to begin.
- Complete the multiple-choice and situational questions that assess your caregiving experience.
- Ensure your responses reflect your expertise and readiness to provide exceptional care.
Note: You must pass the care screening to proceed to the next step.
3. Step 2: Background Check via Checkr
After successfully completing the Care Screening, you’ll proceed to the Background Check process, managed by Checkr.
- Click Start Background Check.
- Some information (such as your name and email) may already be prefilled. Review it for accuracy.
- Enter any additional required information, such as your Social Security Number, address, and date of birth.
- Submit the background check application.
Important: Checkr will notify you via email if any additional steps are required, such as providing documents for verification.
Timeframe: Most background checks are processed within a few business days. You’ll be notified when your background check is complete.
4. Step 3: Stripe Connect Setup
Once your background check comes back clear, you’ll be able to set up your payment account with Stripe Connect to receive payouts.
- On the home screen, click Setup Stripe Connect.
- Follow these steps to complete the process:
- Login or Create an Account:
- If you have a Stripe account, log in using your credentials.
- If you’re new to Stripe, create an account using your email and set a password.
- Provide Personal Information:
- Enter your full name, date of birth, and Social Security Number for identity verification.
- Add Payment Information:
- You can choose to add either your bank account details (routing and account number) or a debit card for payouts.
- To add a debit card, provide the card number, expiration date, and security code (CVV).
- Verify Details and Submit:
- Review all information for accuracy, agree to the terms, and click Submit.
- Login or Create an Account:
Documentation Tips:
- Use any relevant documents from your Checkr verification (e.g., government ID) to assist with identity confirmation if prompted by Stripe.
- Stripe will notify you if additional information or documents are needed.
5. Completing Onboarding
Once all steps are completed, your caregiver profile will be fully activated, and you’ll be ready to accept bookings from parents. You’ll receive a confirmation email from DanberKidz.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues during the onboarding process:
- Care Screening: Contact DanberKidz Support by submitting a support request for assistance.
- Background Check: Check your email for instructions from Checkr or visit their support portal .
- Stripe Connect: Visit Stripe Support for detailed account management support.
